Welcome to Dunstable Town - The Phoenix Club

The original Dunstable Town were in existence from the nineteenth century until 1975, being replaced by Dunstable FC. They in turn folded in 1993-4 and the new Dunstable Town was created in 1998. They do like a liquidation, in this part of town.
Always, good to kick off with a bus shelter.
Nice "At Cost" stand - some familiar faces here tonight.
This should have been the opening scene - says George Lucas - what does he know - Star Wars was full of tin pot robots.
Space for Dave Webb and AG to park their bikes at this one.
Knackered before they start.
The building in the foreground is Dunstable's lavish clubhouse - I can recommend the London Pride, if you ever decide to visit Creasey Park. As you can see, the touchlines are packed tonight.
Unusual to see Caribbean Cuisine on offer at a footy ground - makes a change from the old cheval burger.
It's all happening here.
Another At Cost stand - occupied by the Luton Ultras.
Meet Cuthbert - the owner of the Caribbean Food Outlet. He, recommended the "home made" Saltfish Pattie to me.
Well, if you look closely there are number of things not quite right here - can you spot them readers? For starters, it is a Chicken Pattie and from the wrapper you can clearly see it is produced at "Frontier Works, Queen Street, Tottenham N17 -  ever get the feeling you been cheated?

Some of you, may known this area better as "Little Russia" of Tottenham, London, UK which is located on the borough boundary with Edmonton, London, mainly comprising Pretoria Road, Durban Road and Lorenco Road. A large number of Russian immigrants settled there after fleeing the 1917 Russian Revolution. It developed into one of the toughest areas of North London and the local constabulary usually only policed the area in pairs.
See even the match officials travel three up.

I hope this picture, gives you a feel for how busy Creasey Park was on the night.
Given my previous experience with fast food  - I wonder how true these statements are? Forensic accounting confirms the cookies and muffins are in fact £1.00 each.
The fine clubhouse.
Never forget the Hillsborough 96.
The End
